Crafting Change with Assurance, Grace and Ease

star wandA change can happen on a dime or take much concerted effort and reconfiguring. Why is it that sometimes it is so very simple, as if a magic wand were just waved, and sometimes it can prove a laborsome, circuitous and mucky endeavor?

I have a theory… and it has to do with your mindset, the stage you set.
Here are two different scenarios to illustrate.

In the first case you have a sudden distinct download ‘from the heavens’; you know exactly where you want to go, what you want to do, including your next (first) step in ‘getting there’. All of your senses are activated and engaged, you clearly see, feel, taste, touch and smell that new ‘place’. In a sense, you have already arrived before you even embarked.

In the second case you have been intellectually building, constructing, plotting
and possibly fretting to craft a new endeavor; be it personal, professional or
otherwise oriented. You are seeking to shift, but cannot quite manage to ‘be there’, and that makes the ‘getting there’ a bit bumpy and toilsome, to say the least.

My theory? I believe that if you call to mind a sense-rich outcome, allowing yourself to feel you have arrived at your ‘destination’ before you have actually taken off – your journey to get ‘there’ will be smoother than if you had not preset your stage.

Give my theory a try and let me know how it goes: if you need guidance or assistance in the process, call me.
